Faced with Bangaloreans fury,the food and civil supplies department simplified the process for submitting details of the RR numbers of electricity meters of their residence to LPG distributors.Instead of standing in long queues,people can now submit details via fax,registered post or upload them.
Allaying fears that LPG connections would be disconnected if residents fail to submit electricity RR numbers,food & civil supplies minister Shobha Karandlaje told reporters here on Tuesday that submitting RR numbers has nothing to do with snipping off LPG connections.LPG agencies are spreading fear among people that the government would go on a disconnection drive.Theres no need for panic as we have no such plans, she said.However,the last date for submission of details remains February 10th 2011

We welcome the move of food and civil supplies department for the simplified process.
There should be a better way than using RR number. For those that are staying on rents won't be able to submit either RR number or other details as the meter connection would be common. Ministry has to find other better ways.
It could be a choice of proofs. For ex., income tax return, PAN number etc.,.

Sir, I was staying at a house near Hebbal Bangalore 1 month back. Mine is Indane gas connection.At dat time I have submitted RR no.,Ration card,etc. Now,new tenant came to dat house & he submitted same RR no. his gas connenction is BP. Now, mine connection is under verification. what to do now?

Myself & my wife are staying at my daughter's place in seperate room. We have Indian Gas connection on my name & seperately cooking at same address of house. But they are using HP gas connection seperately. The same reason was mentioned at the time of transfering the connection from Hyderabad to Bangalore to the agent. When I checked in web page it is under inspection since both connections are in same R.R. Number but it showing can be continued. Now what is to be done. Is any document to be shown.
I am Khan. I do not have Ration Card but I have submitted RR number and my ID proof to my dealer Panaga Gas in February personally. However on line it is said that no documents have been submitted. On contacting gas agency they say I have to submit on line again as deptt has lost the documents in transit. I got all the Electricity Bill and Gas supply bill scanned but after filling the form and uploading scanned copies and I click "submit", nothing happens and no acknowledgement is displayed.

But what I expressed my problem is that I am unable to get the acknowledgement even after filling the form and uploading Electricity Bill and Gas supply bill when I click submit button. Both the attachments are less than 150 kb in jpeg format
Please any one help me or share their problem and solution if they also experienced similar problem.

The below link is a different from the above and it works fine. Just make sure that the file you will be uploading is less than 200kb.
After visiting this link click on to the 3rd button to submit your documents. You can also click on to the 1st and 5th buttons to check status.
