e-Suvega:
The commercial tax department of karnataka is introducing e-Transit pass. E-suvega: Simply upload about vehicle on Entry and Go Across system.
According to section 54 of Karnataka Value added tax, 2003, transporters carrying goods from one state to another through karnataka by road have to obtan Transit pass at the Entry check post and surrender the same at the exit check post.
This existing system involved delays, compiling large number of documents and some time causes hardship to the Department and the transporters. To avoid all these , the karnataka Commercial tax Department s introducing E-Transit pass-E-suvega system w.e.f 01/07/2011.
How to Obtain and Use e-transit pass -e-suvega:
a.Transporter from outside have to log on to the Department website www.ctax.kar.nic.in and upload the details in the form prescribed which will appear on the screen. After entering all the details correctly submit should be pressed.
b.Then the Application form for e-transit pass e-suvega will emerge and 2 copies of the same should be printed.
c.The e-suvega application should be produced before the commercial tax officer at the entry check post.
d.The commercial tax officer at the entry check post will verify , rectify if there is any mistake , clear it and affix his signature.
