Register your property online:
The state government on Friday launched a computerized registration procedure by integrating Bhoomi and Kaveri, the two e-governance schemes of the state government. The new system will not only simplify the registration procedure but also put an end to bogus registrations and corruption, that are widely prevalent in rural areas, revenue minister G Karunakara Reddy said at a function held to mark the 10th anniversary of the Bhoomi project.
The integrated pilot project will be initially introduced in 25 taluks in the state and be gradually extended across the state.
Thats not all.Under the new system,a person who wants to register a property will get periodical SMS alerts both in English and Kannada on the status of the registration till the process is complete. While the manual dispatch of documents under the old system caused a 45-day delay, the new system is expected to take not more than a month.
