Geocoding of Principal Place of Business is a new feature on the GSTN which converts the address into geographical co-ordinates. This feature has been enabled for recording of accurate address with the GSTN thereby, making verification process smoother.
- It may be viewed under “Services>>Registration tab>>Geocoding Principal Place of Business”.
- The system-generated geocoded address shall auto-populate on the portal, the same may be reviewed and accepted or updated as per the taxpayers requirement.
- After updating the same, it may viewed under “My profile>>Place of Business tab under the heading “Principal Geocoded””
This is a one-time activity and once submitted revision of the same shall not be possible. For new registrations, geo-coding shall be done at the time of application for registration itself.
